  22. Last year I decided to hold a fundraising event within my office. Co-workers could dare other co-workers to do something outrageous, like perform a cheer in the lobby. Then, the dares that raised the most money had to be performed. We ended up raising almost $3000 that was donated to a scholarship fund for needy college students. It put the "fun" back in fundraising and encouraged others to donate even in these tough economic times. P.S. I had to perform the cheer in the lobby ;). leahmcox@hotmail.com

  35. I try to help my community mainly in little, everyday ways: holding the doors for people with strollers, giving a quarter to someone short on bus far, *always* saying please and thank you. None of those things are going to save the world on their own, but I guess I just try (emphasis on try :^) to make more good than bad in my day.

    Thank you!
